Shona’s Vision

Coming from a small town in Mississippi, there was little money and not a lot of opportunities afforded to people like me. I was a quiet and shy introvert who preferred to stay in the house. The highlight of my day was sneaking in my mom’s makeup. I’d pretend that I was a star, ready for the red carpet. Wearing the makeup always gave me the confidence and boost that I needed to come out of my shell. It made me feel powerful, confident, and assurance, when I otherwise didn’t.

I know that they say beauty is only skin deep. Guess what? You can’t help but to feel pretty once you apply your makeup. I have been told many times “you don’t need that makeup. You have natural beauty”. Well sometimes I like to enhance my features.
